Jarvis Elliptical Oval Table
An elliptical oval pedestal table brings a ton of style to a small dining space. The organic shape and minimalist pedestal base of our Jarvis elliptical oval table demonstrate that small spaces can still be beautiful, interesting spaces. As a pedestal base, it also offers flexibility on how to seat people around the table.
With our Jarvis pedestal tables, the base plate plays a key role in the stability of the table. As a result, the plate mirrors the shape of the table top and is scaled based on the size of the top. The turned and sculpted post adds an element of style to the table. Depending on the size of the table, we can adjust the diameter of the post or add a second post. We recommend the Jennings base for tables 36" x 72" or smaller.
Something to keep in mind with elliptical oval tables is that there are no straight sides and the ends can get narrow which means that the best seating is on the sides of the table. While this does make an elliptical table less efficient for seating, it does make it easier for everyone to see each other. Other design details include a 6/4" thick table top with a traditional square Seymour edge.
