Glenbow Round Dining Table
A round pedestal table is a great choice for a dining room table because the organic shape is great for traffic flow and guests can all see each other, making conversation easier around the table. The round fluted pedestal base on our Glenbow table adds an architectural element while still allowing lots of room for chairs and guests' legs. The combined effect of the round shape and the fluted detailing on the base creates a stunning dining room table.
With pedestal dining tables, the trick is to get the size of the pedestal right. You want enough clearance from the edge of the table to the base for chairs and for guests. At the same time, you want the table overall to be stable. While adding weight to a smaller base can help provide stability, getting the proportions right is the key. We recommend the Como base pedestal base on table 42" in diameter or more. Other design details include a 6/4" thick table top with a traditional square Seymour edge.
