Yoho Extendable Pedestal Table

Yoho Extendable Pedestal Table

For a dining room table that has it all, look no further than this Yoho Extendable Pedestal Table. A rectangle is a classic shape for a table that makes great use of space. Beyond this, as an extendable table you can easily add leaves to make room for a few more guests and being a pedestal table there is lots of room for legs (both people legs and chair legs) under the table. Functionality though is just the beginning of the story with this table, as the base is just as beautiful. This pedestal base has a visually interesting fluted design, and when you extend the table it splits into 2-3 sections, making for a solid, supportive base for the table.

This table is a center extension table which means that there is a split in the middle of the table where it pulls apart. You can add one or both of the leaves here. With center extension tables, the grain always runs widthwise.

With pedestal dining tables, the trick is to get the size of the pedestal right. You want enough clearance from the edge of the table to the base for chairs and for guests. At the same time, you want the table overall to be stable. While adding weight to a smaller base can help provide stability, getting the proportions right is the key. Other design details include a 6/4" thick table top with a traditional square Seymour edge.

We build every table to order so you can have the table that's perfect for you. We can customize the size, the wood, the finish, the edge and the base so the table fits your style and your needs. Whatever you choose, you can be confident that you will receive a beautiful hardwood table, custom built for you.

At Loewen Design Studios we build stunning high quality hardwood tables. Where we really shine though is in helping people figure out the best dining table for them. We'd love to help you figure out what your perfect table looks like. Reach out to start working with our design team on creating the tables that's best for you.
